Voices and Echoes: Haiku Society of America Members’ Anthology, 2001, edited by Carlos Colón, (New York: Haiku Society of America and Tragg Publications, 2001). 124 pages, paper, perfectbound, 5 3/8" x 8 1/4". ISBN 0-9631467-8-5. $8.00 U.S. & Canada, $9.00 elsewhere, postpaid from the editor at 185 Lynn Ave., Shreveport, LA 71105-3523.

Each poem in the book was selected from five to ten haiku or senryu submitted by members of the Haiku Society of America in 2001. All members who submitted work were guaranteed to have one poem accepted. The book is well manufactured, with generally two poems on a page, for a total of 222. Haiga by the members are also included. Because of the many poems that are included, no sampling of them will be made for this review. Voices and Echoes is for persons who are interested in a broad overview of contemporary haiku and senryu.
